What’s the Intersection of Audience & Transportation in metro Atlanta?
This session will feature the report-out on an Audience Building Innovation Grant awarded by The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation in 2017. The purpose of the grant was to conduct market research to understand the habits of both arts patrons and transportation users and figure out where the intersection is (no pun intended) between the two. Theatrical Outfit, MARTA, J. Walter Thompson Advertising, and a host of collaborative Roundtable member organizations will share results so that all may benefit from the information.

In 2016, The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation awarded a two-year Audience Building Innovation Grant to the Alliance Theatre so that they could focus specific audience building strategies on four audiences, including LGBTQ and seniors. The Foundation awarded a concurrent grant to Bob Harlow Research & Consulting to study the Alliance’s progress and organize the results into a publishable case study.
Join Jessica Boatright, Director of Marketing, Alliance Theatre; Jamie Clements, Director of Development, Alliance Theatre; and Bob Harlow of Bob Harlow Research & Consulting for an advance preview of the results, lessons learned that can be applied to all Audience Building Roundtable members, and interactive discussion about implementing what the Alliance learned.

Workshop with the Audience Building Patron Retention Study Cohort #2 Organizations. TRG Arts to present results; the five organizations participating in cohort 2 will share their learning & preliminary plans with their peer organizations with workshopping to determine common strategies that can be employed by other member organizations.
