DeKalb Symphony Orchestra

Established in 1964, DeKalb Symphony Orchestra has served the community by offering audiences an enjoyable symphonic experience in a relaxed, unpretentious, affordable setting. DeKalb Symphony Orchestra presents concerts of traditional and contemporary symphonic repertoire, seeking both the highest possible level of artistic quality and the advancement of musical awareness and participation among its musicians and diverse audiences. The DeKalb Symphony Orchestra (DSO) – more than 80 members strong under the baton of Maestro Fyodor Cherniavsky, enriches community and keeps symphonic music alive by presenting a full year-round season of traditional and contemporary repertoire in relaxed and unpretentious settings. For more than half a century, the DSO has provided amazingly high quality artistry at affordable prices for diverse audiences.

The Audience building is such an important goal for arts organizations, no matter their size. The DeKalb Symphony Orchestra is extremely grateful to be included in the Blank Family Foundation’s Roundtable that so generously offers the promise of moving aspirations to reality.
