Theatrical Outfit

Founded in 1976, Theatrical Outfit is Atlanta's second-oldest continually operating professional theater company – is an award-winning professional theatre company housed in The Balzer Theater, located on the historical downtown site of Herren’s, the first restaurant in Atlanta to voluntarily desegregate in 1962; its first African American patrons, Dr. Lee and Delores Shelton, are now season subscribers to Theatrical Outfit. Theatrical Outfit’s vision is creating compassion – one story at a time, and its mission is starting the conversations that matter.  During the past two years, Theatrical Outfit has seen remarkable growth in its audience, including season subscribers.

The Roundtable is a state of the art cohort effort centering on best practices of Audience Development. In the past twenty years, performing arts organizations have been bombarded with new marketing trends, new audiences and tastes and budgets that can’t easily keep pace with understanding or managing these developments. We’re so thrilled that the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation has stepped forward to bring us together to learn and to help each other. Thanks Blank Foundation!
